Hack datamining? As a medical researcher I'd hope that being a student of the scientific method you would not assume that a group of peer reviewed scientists had not utilized valid statistical analysis without first, well, reviewing their work. Given the article I'm apt to assume that their findings are significant. Hack datamining? I mean honestly, pleaese define the term, datamining is in many ways modern science. All the bull@!$%# in the world gives way to significant trends my friend, your assumption that this analysis is tainted reveals your bias.
